Description

The story

The corals in this composition are made by hand modelling in ceramic and fixed with a mixture of plaster and aracite. The beach (on the edge) contains pebbles naturally sanded by the sea water. I have tried to reproduce as closely as possible the texture of the leafy corals (top left) and a coral reef in the margin of which I have depicted a jellyfish with long, wavy tentacles emerging from between the sea plants in the foreground (right).

Do you know anything about the life of jellyfish? Jellyfish are aquatic organisms, but they are not fish, and they inhabit all seas and oceans and are generally transparent or translucent. They are also known as jellyfish. Jellyfish are carnivorous animals. They catch their prey with their tentacles. Through their tentacles they inject a venom that paralyses or even kills their prey. The concentration and composition of the venom differs from species to species. Some species of jellyfish develop a venom so powerful that it can kill an adult human in just a few minutes. Jellyfish consume all types of plankton. They eat fish eggs or larvae from other animals, molluscs, crustaceans, or other jellyfish species.
